The Toyota Highlander Hybrid SUV, which uses Toyota’s Hybrid Synergy Drive Technology, was introduced in 2004 and first offered to the public in late 2005 as the 2006 Model. It contains a 3.3 Liter V6 and two electric motors that, when combined, provide 268 HP that permits the SUV to reach 60 MPH in just 8 seconds. The Highlander Hybrid qualifies as a Super Ultra Low Emission Vehicle (SULEV) which makes it a very eco-friendly rental choice.
